Located right next to Marrickville station, it’s a fun little shop that you won’t ever miss due to the long line of customers waiting for Bahn Mi. It offers exceptional Banh Mi at outstanding prices of ~$6, it’s definitely a value that cannot be beaten! Do note that the line tends to get pretty long during lunchtime so get there early to skip the queue.
Food: It’s simple, tasty and full of flavour. It’s Bahn Mi!
The bread is baked freshly every day, so it’s always flaky, soft and crispy, and the diverse range of salad and pickled vegetables that accompany your choice of meat is always a pleasure to bite into. The chilli is on the spicier side and definitely has a kick to it, so if your not a fan of spice, I would recommend staying away from chillis. Also if your not a fan of the pate, chicken roll or the crispy pork crackling roll is a definite recommend!
Atmosphere: Look, it’s not a 5-star restaurant, heck, it’s not even a proper restaurant. It’s a hole-in-the-wall shop that sells Bahn Mi. It’s not luxurious, or fancy but it will definitely satisfy your cravings for damn good Bahn Mi.
Hospitality: Honestly I’m not too sure what to say. They ask for your order, take your money and basically tell you to wait outside for your order. Messy, and not a pleasant experience, but hey it’s not a 5-star restaurant and as long as the food is good I have no complaints.
Overall, It’s an easy recommend for all Bahn Mi lovers and it’s easy to get to from Marrickville station!
