American BBQ is a delicacy enjoyed by many (especially carnivores c:), but the choices are pretty limited in Sydney. 2 Smokin’ Arabs does American BBQ justice, as it serves beautifully tender and juicy briskets at a reasonable price and it’s to die for. The brisket is so tender that it will melt in your mouth.
Located on the corner of John Street, it’s pretty easy to spot from Canterbury Rd. Parking may be tricky, but if your willing to walk, you can park in any of the side streets surrounding 2 Smokin’ Arabs.
Food:
I’ve been to a couple of American BBQ places around Sydney, and as per the website description of “top position for brisket in the country”, the brisket is damn good and is definitely somewhere in the personal top 5 American BBQ rankings.

I got a Brisket Box with extra Brisket for $35 (definitely not a bad deal!) and it comes jam-packed with goodies and sides!
It comes with potato crisps, Brooklyn pickles, BBQ sauce, brioche bun, salad, and briskets.
Brisket is excellent, crisps are satisfying and the salad and the pickle do well to cut through the grease and provide a touch of refreshing note to cut through the heavy taste of smoked meat.
Definitely would come back here again for more American BBQ goodness!
Atmosphere:
Not much to say about the atmosphere. It’s a food truck parked in the front yard of a home. It definitely felt local (whatever that means) and has a chill vibe to it. Minimal decorations but hey, it’s not a restaurant so don’t expect too much. Do note that seating is limited!
Hospitality:
1 sentence. Really friendly and awesome people that love what they do. And to the lady that shouted us a free drink, you're amazing! No complaints here!
Other notable locations are Smoky Sues Mariouba (*), Vic’s Meat Market (**), Surly’s American Tavern (***), and Black Bear BBQ Blacktown (****). 2 Smokin’ Arabs delivers an unexpected surprise
*Prices were quite expensive, lacking portion size, cuts of meat were dry, lack of a smoke ring, lack of smoke flavour, lack of any flavour really :/. My experience with the restaurant after a 1.5-hour journey was really terrible, however, do note that this place has a 4.1 / 5 star rating on Google. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this place over other American BBQs, but hey if you're feeling adventurous, go for it!
